Oui Oui, Chemo 3! We made it through round three with a special nod to Erma’s dream of going to Paris!

The power of prayer is so real, I felt it with my whole heart this weekend. Thank you to everyone who continues to cover us in prayer. Erma did amazing this round! She was her usual sassy, full-of-life self and handled every hurdle thrown her way.

We came prepared this time with scavenger hunts, tea parties, macaron taste testing, and even a nail salon where she pampered the nurses and the therapy dog too! We are so grateful that this hospital stay was uneventful and even filled with sweet memories, something that often feels impossible in these circumstances.

Now that we’re home, the side effects have hit hard. She’s still on an IV and experiencing a lot of vomiting. The toughest part is that she still has an appetite because of her daily oral chemo, and it’s heartbreaking for her body to want food but not be able to keep it down.

Please pray with us tomorrow as she gets two shots and pray we can keep her nausea under control to avoid being readmitted.
