Ready for Round 5, our final round of chemo in the induction phase!

Erma’s treatment plan is broken into three phases:

Induction: Five rounds of chemotherapy (we’re finishing this one!)

Consolidation: The toughest phase ahead — two high-dose chemotherapies, two stem cell transplants, and then radiation.

Post-Consolidation: Five months of immunotherapy to finish strong!

We’re ready to tackle this round, and in true Erma fashion, she’s actually asking to go to the hospital for her “party”

Here are three specific ways you can pray for us this weekend:

Hearing Protection: Erma was recently found to have minor high frequency hearing loss. This round includes cisplatin, which can worsen that, so please pray that God protects her ears and that no further hearing loss occurs.

Healthy Organs: Pray that God keeps her liver and kidneys strong! Erma tends to get a bit jaundiced with cisplatin, so we’re praying her body filters everything safely and stays healthy.

Peace and Comfort: Pray that Erma’s spirits stay high as she faces the side effects of treatment. When she gets sick, she often looks at us and says “sorry,” which is heartbreaking, we just want her to feel comfortable, loved, and at peace.
