It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update, and we are so thankful for everyone who continues to lift our family up in prayer.

Sarah is currently battling a stomach bug, and I have several appointments with Erma this week. Tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. Erma has an important hearing test. We’re concerned she may have experienced additional hearing loss, as there are times she can barely hear us. We are praying for a miracle and that it's minor hearing loss, but also for peace and strength if the results confirm further loss.

Please continue praying for Erma’s healing. Over the past few days, she has made encouraging progress as her appetite is returning, and she’s had fewer complaints of pain. However, she is still experiencing neuropathy, and despite 14 days of IV antibiotics, her pneumonia has progressed. She will remain on antibiotics for several more weeks in hopes that the infection clears and she can finally be free from her IV backpack.

We are asking for big prayers for complete healing, for her lungs to clear, and for the strength to move forward with radiation in the coming weeks.
