Thursday was Erma’s first day receiving her immunotherapy infusion, Dinutuximab. We knew it would be painful, but nothing could have prepared us for seeing our child cry out in pain. Words can’t fully describe how heartbreaking it was to watch Erma beg for us and for Jesus to make the pain stop. So many tears were shed by all three of us, mostly me to be honest.

I’m incredibly thankful for everyone’s prayers, and I’m so relieved to share that her care team has her pain under control and she’s doing much better! She’s still receiving a 20-hour infusion each day, but we are still on track to be discharged from the hospital on Monday.

In the meantime, she’s sleeping a lot and soaking up lots of cuddles from her stuffies, mom, and the sweet St. Jude service dog named Snuggles.
