We’re still hanging in there. Things have been changing day by day, and at times it’s been a challenge to keep our girl comfortable. She developed a severe case of pneumonia in her right lung along with MRSA, which led to a few very rough nights.

The good news is she’s been off oxygen during the day, which is a big win! Unfortunately, she threw up her tube tonight, but we’re hoping this next NG tube will be the last one she has to have placed ever!

Our team is hopeful we can go home this week as long as Erma stays on fluids and antibiotics using a backpack. We are starting to see the sparkle and spice come back to Erma and it feels like we are moving closer to going back to housing. We’re more than ready to put this chapter behind us.
